Emerge Mothers Academy's MicroLoan Grant equips entrepreneurial single moms to start or grow their own business by awarding business capital grants of up to $5,000 to one to two moms each year.
How does MicroLoan Grant work? After reviewing all eligible business plans, 2-3 finalists are selected to present in front of a multi-industry panel of professionals (think Shark Tank). The panelists often contribute to the pot of funds or mentor the mom in her business for a year. MicroLoan grant recipients "pay-it-forward" by mentoring a future grant recipient.
