People are responding! We see the helpers. Minnesotans are trying to band together. The reality remains: Your support is needed for single mothers and their children who have lost access to crucial necessities.
Many of the Emerge Mothers Academy (EMA) moms live in the Lake Street corridor of Minneapolis which has been devastated by violence and rioting. Our collective grief, in the death of George Floyd, swiftly moved to fear as local businesses, banks, police stations, post offices and childcare centers were burned by riots.
Parenting is hard. Especially alone. We know you believe in our moms and want to be there for them. Your support will provide EMA moms (and their children) impacted by this violence with:
*Tele-mental health and social work services, in office visits, or in-home services to our moms
*Gas or taxi money to get food & essentials (especially as public transit is shut down)
*Funds to stabilize their finances
Your gift of any amount will help an EMA mom and her children. You will show her that, even as a single mom, she is not alone. You are with her.
