Emerge Mothers Academy (EMA) is a Twin Cities non-profit providing social services to solo-parenting mothers. The work of EMA puts our clients front and center. Their grit and determination become the small steps we use to fuel change in their lives. While all of our clients have come into solo-parenting through different circumstances, one thing rings true for them all-ALL desire community and stability. They are willing to work hard to achieve it; putting in an endless number of small steps to make change in their lives.

With COVID-19 and the recession, the single moms of EMA have had to navigate the challenges of lost jobs and wages, school and daycare closures, distance learning, food and housing insecurity, mental health issues, and diminished support networks. Funds raised will equip the single moms of EMA (and their kids) to overcome this adversity and thrive.

Join us virtually for the 9th Annual Splurge for Emerge! Watch from the comfort of your home on October 6th or host an in-person or virtual gathering between October 6th-10th. Hosts will receive a "Fundraiser-in-a-Box" with all the resources they'll need to make the fundraising event successful.

EMA social services include:

Parenting Class & Mentoring- give her the tools, resources, and support she needs to constructively parent her children.

Work Prep & Financial Literacy- equip her with job and financial skills to help her achieve financial stability.

Social Work & Counseling- help her manage the ups and downs that come in life, especially while solo parenting

Annual MicroLoan Grant- empower her to start up or scale up a lucrative small business.
